Installation and Start-up / Decommissioning
Proper installation, set-up, and start-up of an odorizer is critical to the equipment's long term performance and the safety of your gas distribution system.  The process starts with the upfront engineering services to prepare the installation site, continues through the proper training of the field service technician to maintain and operate the equipment on a regular basis, and the safe removal of your expended odorant equipment.

Mulcare has the qualified people and experience to assist in every step of the way.  Let our experience help reduce your total installation costs and significantly shorten the installation process.

Our Services Includes:
Consultative Services

We have the technical expertise to assist in design of the site for the proper installation of the equipment.  We will ensure that the site is designed with the proper inlet connections and gas pressure, injection line(s) and injection point(s), and that the flow signals, electrical requirements, and communications capabilities are there for years of trouble free operation.

Installation

We will connect and verify the gas flow rate input signal and remote communication wiring (if applicable), and install all gas supply piping, odorant inlet tubing, odorant injection line(s), and exhaust tubing.  In addition, all piping and tubing will be pressure and leak tested.  This process will include the installation of appropriate valves and pressure test points to simplify maintenance and operational effeciencies.

The customer would be responsible for physically mounting the NJEX equipment at its permanant location, providing the appropriate electrical connections, and having odorant available in the odorant supply tank prior to system installation.

Start-up / System Commissioning

Whether or not Mulcare provides the system installation, we can have an odorant technician on-site for the initial start-up of the system.  Our technician will visually inspect and evaluate the system upon arrival, verify the mechanical and electrical inlet and outlet connection, including the flow rate signals.

Further we will:

Pressure and leak test the entire odorant system
Set the regulator pressures and valves for normal operation
Program the unit with the appropriate operating parameters
    Adjust the throttle valve
Start-up and monitor the performance of the system
Train your service technician  to operate the system
